A lace frontal is similar to a lace closure and it is the finishing that is added to any hair installation. Lace frontal stretch from an ear to the other and it measures 13”x4”. This gives the natural look to the hairline.
A lace front wig does not have lace around its back, so cannot be worn in a high ponytail while full lace wig has lace all around and it can be worn in any style with more natural looks.
A lace front wig is manufactured using a thin lace that extends across the hairline, from ear to ear. It is similar to regular wigs. When received, the unit’s lace is really long in the front and the lace needs to be cut along the front of the unit to create a new hairline. You shouldn’t cut all of the lace, as you need to apply adhesive to it for your new hairline.
Once you apply the lace front wig, you will benefit of a full hair wig, with the difference that the front of this hair wig will not look like a wig, but it will look as if it grows directly from your scalp.
A full lace wig is manufactured with a cap that has a thin lace sewn on top of it. Individual hairs are sewn into the thin lace. This type of wig has lace all around the unit and you need to cut a hairline around your head. Once you finish doing this, you can wear your hair in any style you desire.
Once applied, you will have a full hair wig, with the front, back and sides that will look as if they grew from your scalp.
